“Happy Holidays” on West Palm Beach

Greeting From INLS, Florida Chapter !

INLS, Florida Chapter organized the celebration of “Happy Holidays” on New Year’s Day, Friday January 1st, 2010 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Such an event was organized for the first time as the regular annual activity of our chapter and will be continued on regular basis in　different cities of Florida on rotational basis. INLS, Florida Chapter　mphasizes the idea to establish the bridging pool between the culture
of the country of origin and the country of immigrant.

The said event was organized with the formation of celebration
preparation committee under the coordination of chapter's General　Secretary Krishna Shrestha. In presence of Chapter's President Bimal　Nepal, setting of overall shape of event and distribution of　responsibilities was discussed well in advance in the meeting of　preparation committee.

Despite the adverse weather situation, more than thirty families from　Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Jupiter gathered for this　event. The venerable member of our community Mr Ishwor Shrestha　delivered the best wishes speech to all on the occasion of happy new　year 2010 and cut the New Year Cake.

All present kids enjoyed in playground of Okeeheelee Park.　Music,　dancing, exchanging New Year wishes, fun activities in a absolutely　non official environment provided a different style of enjoyment and　merry making moment.

Chicken BBQ, roasted corn, Chicken Hot Dog for kids, BHOGATE SANDEKO　were the most delicious items during the event. Various voluntary pot　luck, Achar, Chiura, salad, etc. were the highlights. INLS, Florida　Chapter is very much thankful to all of those who voluntarily　participated in the pot luck.

Special thanks go to all energetic advisor and members of Celebration　Preaparation Commiittee which includes Dr. Hari Pandey as an　advisor,Mr.  Jaya Satyal, Mr. Parbat Joshi, Mr. Risi Gautam, Mr.　Lochan Shrestha and  Mr. Chandan Shrestha as the members. We would　also like to thank Mrs Srijana Nepal for registering participants. We　thank Mr. Choodamani Khanal together with Mr. Bhuwan Khanal for their　amazing　music vocals entertainment, Mr. Shrihari Shrestha for organizing a
lottery to select a sole winner from all participated family. Mrs.
Sabitri Shrestha and family was the winner of this lottery. Mr.
Choodamani Khanal was the winner of other blind folded fun activity.　The pivotal role of the Chapter's president Bimal Nepal for organizing　the overall event was highly appreciated.
