INLS Dallas Chapter Is Organizing Book Release Program (11/22/2009)

INLS Texas Chapter is proud to announce the release of poetry collection


 


 


INLS Texas Chapter is proud to announce the release of Nepali poet laureate Durga Lal Shrestha's poetry collection "A drop of Texas" published by INLS Texas chapter with English translation. It will be released on 28th November 2009 from Dallas and Kathmandu.


 


"Ali ali Texas" ("A drop of Texas" in English) is a collection of 50 short poems Durga Lal ji composed during his  Texas stay last year. This is a unique fodder for intellect for all Nepalis living abroad. Poet eloquently carves his experiences of living abroad, being away from home, and having to deal with different culture (all that we experience every day) with a beauty. Above all poet has the utmost respect/passion for Nepali culture, literature, Nepali spirit and humanity in all corners of the globe.


 


Ani's song "Phool ko ankha ma, phoolai sansara........." and all the songs in CD "Moments of Bliss" is written by Durga Lal ji. He has written many Nepal Bhasha and Nepali lyrics. He is the creator of lyrics of Nepali movie "Balidan" and Newari movie "Rajamati". He is great asset of Nepal and Nepali literature, INLS Texas Chapter is honored to have undertaken this project. 


 


Reorganization of INLS Texas Chapter will be announced in the program. Nepali writer Bharat Jangham has graciously donated books authored by himself, "Black sun", "Red Sun", "Vicious Circle" and others, will be displayed in the function.
